Of course Main Mercedes Benz Agents will still service your SL, some are very good some are not.

 It must be said that obviously most Main Agents are tooled up for newer cars so a Specialist Independent

might be a better course.

( We must naturally own up to a bias as Schmitt Motors is an Independent Mercedes Specialist)

It is always a wise option to keep your service history stamped and up to date. Be aware that under the

Office of Fair Trading rules  a main agent has to honour the stamp of an Independent as long as original MB

parts are used. (See letter below)

Most specialists, such as ourselves , have mechanics who know the older SL' s backwards and are rarely stumped  by strange problems.
